They are a fumble (vs Florida) and a defensive mindfrick (vs Alabama) away from an undefeated season.

If that's too much, take away one of those scenarios and they are in prime contention for a return trip to the BCSCG.

We were also a fumble away from losing today (that got nullified by our own frick-up). Selective memory rules.

Did anyone really expect us to compete for NC this year? We lost a lot of players from last years team. I figured this was a rebuilding year. I'm perfectly happy with 10-2

Go back and search. Mett was supposed to be the savior and there were a shite ton of people on here screaming NC, SECC year 12-0, 11-1 at worse since Feb.

This team could easily have lost to Auburn. Freaking Auburn. It could have lost to Ole Miss, State and Arky. This team got some breaks, but it either under achieved or it is not at all a top flight team, IMHO>

Exactly. And most were talking about Mett being the missing ingredient to a great season in 2012.

They've accomplished a lot for not playing stellar football. I'll give them that.

That's a sign of an immature team.

Watch a replay of the game. Pay attention to the play of #78, the LSU right offensive tackle. He played a poor game - was manhandled most of the time. His bad play caused pressure on QB when passing & helped to slow the run game.

Bama sure is in a good spot. They lost more than we did. Albeit it some luck, it still kills the excuse of losing the talent we did.

Yes, I really did. But I'm still very happy with a 10-2 record. It's been a good season. Could we have done better? Probably. But there are a lot of teams that would give anything to have our record in our conference.

bullshite! You have no idea h that game would have played out. We would have been winning by four with the Hogs on our 20, BFD.

You could just as easily point to games that we won where a fumble or interception that we got was the difference. Fact is that there were many players who did not play as well this year as did last year.

Names, ok. Reid, Simon, Logan, Wing, Alleman, Hilliard, Mingo and Montgomery. The entire offensive line disentergrated. They consistently underplayed in games we should have won handily but just squeaked by. Auburn, Towson, Ole Miss, Miss State and now Arkansas. Almost no one perormed well against Florida but especially the entire offense.

Alabama and maybe Washington were the only games where we truly played up to our potential. The defense while not dominate like last year did play fairly well until after Alabama. Then just when the offense starts to play much better, our defense starts to play miserably.

Oh well, much better year than many I have sweated out being a Tiger fan but seldom have we had so much great talent that just didn't come through like they should have.

We could have easily lost 4 games. I will take 10-2 and feel very lucky about it.

That's where I'm at. 2012 was gonna be awesome until RR left and TM7 left and injuries.
