I'm looking to have more save space for my 20gb PS3. Any suggestions on a cheap one?

Why not get an internal 1TB hard drive? I bought one, just haven't installed it yet.

Anyway, I have a 2 TB external that's formatted to fat32 that the PS3 can actually read. If you label the folders on the HD correctly you can put all your save and game files on there and the PS3 will read any illegal videos you downloaded like mine.

There are guides out there to help. It's pretty awesome having a backup just in case.

You don't even have to label them correctly. Just hit triangle and hit "view all on disk" or something and it will pull up EVERYTHING that's on that drive video or not.

I tried putting my 500GB laptop hard drive in my PS3, no bueno.

Looked it up and apparently not all laptop HD's will work due to the read/write speed.

Trying to download anything on it, would cause it to freeze up after about 5 minutes or so. I remember when I preordered Madden digitally, and the DL kept getting stuck at like 19%, took me an hour to realize it was the HD and put back in the stock one.

Oh well.
