searched and couldn't find a thread, man this movie shook me to the bones, I have really been thinking about my drinking after watching this. great movie

The movie is incredible. Shocking ending. A serious look at drug addiction/alcoholism and the cosequences.My favorite movie this year....

they did a great job of making you pull for whip even though he's constantly fricking up.

Solid film. Like the OP I definitely found myself thinking about my drinking. I think the biggest success of the film is highlighting the gray area.
Whip did something that they repeatedly affirm as being basically impossible, but he makes such poor decisions. Good film.

I didn't like it. It was predictable from the beginning IMO. I also felt like I was being preached to by AA. The first step to overcoming alcoholism is admitting it blah blah blah

I took the wife. She thought it was awesome. Just pretty good IMO.

It was ok. A lot of 'Hollywood' in it. I can tell you if any our Captains walked through our hallways in the morning with sunglasses on, they would be piss tested immediately.
