In all fairness, the President's role is way bigger than any 1 human being can handle. On the other hand, this is a long awaited problem he keeps kicking down the road. Send Biden to work on the deal supposedly he is the "McConnell Whisperer".

In all fairness, both parties in Congress had an agreement but it was Obama that blocked it.
So the problem is the POTUS not congress.

This may be too simplistic, but if they voted a stipulation that said the tax breaks would end and certain cuts would be passed if a budget wasn't passed by a certain date, couldn't they simply vote to rescind that measure and or extend the deadline?

Only problem is going off the cliff will allow libs to get what they want--higher taxes, cuts in military.
The stress on the economy will allow dems to push for more government subsidizing and dependency while they blame the republicans.
Dems have proven they have have a much stronger propaganda machine than the GOP.

Don't forget that intelligence failures were also Bush's fault when he was President. Currently, security of diplomats is nobody's responsibility, intel failures are nobody's fault. We can make shite up, arrest or kill citizens without due process and nobody is held responsible except by evil racists.

The he said Obama and Congress are to cut spending 20% across the board.
Really? Where is this news?. I only hear tax increases that will run the government 10 days .
Show us the budget cuts!
