I have not been reading hogville much. This is the worst coaching searches of all coaching searches ever done.

Right. Lsu and their 4 SEC titles since 2001 are shaking. How many does Arky have in that time period?

Is that like Houston Nutt turning down Tennessee and Auburn?

Misleading title, inaccurate premise.

Long is playing this close, the media won't know until it is ready to be announced.

He's an Arkansas fan, he and facts don't mix. They'll go on and on about their history and what not but neglect to tell you all of that history was in the SWC. Like I said, average SEC program. Without checking, what are they in wins since joining the SEC? Middle of the pack? Closer to bottom?

here is a break down for you

Ole Miss all time record

Arkansas wins 32 Ole Miss 25

Texas A&M all time record

Arkansas 41 wins TAMU 25

as far as the commordores? I think we lost to you all maybe once or twice in the whole 21 years we have been in the league. So for a team that is beneath you and the mighty dores, we sure do kick your arse a lot.

Where did I say you are beneath us? I said you are an average SEC program. I looked it up, we've played 6 times in those 21 years, you won 5. You have a losing record against: Alabama, auburn, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, lsu, Missouri, and Tennessee. Plus you exaggerated your record against ole miss. How does that not equate to average?

I feel pretty confident that the Ohio idiot also known as Jeff Long did make a run at James Franklin. The time line

1. leaked out that we were going to have a coach signed by this weekend or Saturday specifically.

this was a ploy by Jeff Long to give Franklin a chance to break away from Vandy after its last game of the season Saturday.

2. said idiot Jeff Long, then leaked that Arkansas was interested in James Franklin and BOT members went ape chit.

3. BOT members said they did not want Franklin then idiot Long did not know what to do and back tracked to Franklin

4. statement gets released this morning, leak by said idiot Long that James Franklin was NOT in the mix for the university of Arkansas job

5. James Franklin states that he is not interested in Arkansas job and denies interest

Absolutely none of that is true. Bill Cowher told me himself tonight at dinner.

recent BCS bowl appearance which we should have won but they cheated. Beat Kansas State in the Cotton Bowl and they were the number team in the Nation last week. Awesome facilities with the ground work for more BCS appearances and top 5 finishes.

Now we might have been average to you but we were trending up and do you think any of that can or could be accomplished at Vanderbilt?

then you are out of your dam mind.

3 years ago ole miss was trending up too. Like I said, you were at a program high. That doesn't mean you'll never have a good season again, you're just coming back down to earth right now.

Who cares? It's vandy, let them keep dreaming we actually wanted their coach and got turned down. It's cute, like kids believing in Santa.

This sounds like Auburn fans after firing Tuberville.

Followed by trying to convince everyone by sheer force of will that a coach with a losing record at a lower tier school was actually a good hire.
