When's the last time a LSU QB has thrown for over 250 yards in 3 straight games?

In the last 3 games Mettenberger has thrown for:

298 Yards - Bama
273 Yards - Miss State
282 yards - Ole Miss

So he has went for over 270 in each of the last 3 games, which is even better.

I looked back all the way to 2004 and couldn't find an instance of this happening. JaMarcus or Flynn never did it. I'm assuming maybe Rohan?

Last qb to throw 250+ in three straight SEC games is Tommy Hodson in 1989.

That's SEC games. I'm talking about strictly games played, regardless of the opponent

I believe it was that QB of German descent back in 1941 or so.

Damn, Rohan didn't achieve this in 01? Surprising, with the numbers he put up that year.

Do the INT return yards count for Jamie Howard? He may have done it then. Lynn Amadee was a masterful offensive coordinator.

Looks like Rohan did in 2001 against Alabama, Mid. Tenn. St. and Arkansas.
Alabama 35-44 528
Middle Tennessee 26-37 318
Arkansas 19-33 359

Just found his game-by game stats and he missed it by 5 yards. He threw for:

528 yards
359 yards
245 yards

You mean the one that was posted like 10 seconds before I posted this one?

I was out deer hunting with my father-in-law the day of the game and didn't see it. Came back to the house, and my wife, who's a huge football fan, tells me "Josh Reed had an amazing day, over 300 yards receiving". I gave her a condescending look and told her she was mistaken, QB's throw for 300 yards, you must be thinking of Rohan.

Needless to say I had a lot of egg to wipe off my face after I saw the highlights and box score. Not to mention pulling couch duty for a night or two

Why is everyone on the Rant intent on trying to be the know it all poster in every thread? It really ruins the whole intent of the site, which is for fans to discuss all kinds of stuff about the team. I don't get the whole 'I know more about LSU than you do retards' that live on this site daily.

Ethelbert "Skeets" McGillicuddy in 1907, the year before Doc Fenton and 10-0.

Someone posted the single season passing yard records for LSU the other day. Josh Reed's Alabama game is literally the difference between Rohan at 1 and Jamarcus at 2.

I think the Rohan/Reed game was at Alabama in 2001. The year before we ended the 0-14-1 streak vs Bama at home.

In the 80's the Home team was 1-8-1 in the series, very strange.
