alright I'll admit its suspect. Look, I'm playing devils advocate for a player who doesn't totally deserve all the hate.

I love Jenkins. He is what you want in a player. He just needs to wrap and tackle more. At times he just tries to hit a guy down on a solo tackle and that is asking for trouble. When you are the second guy there, different story trying to finish. He is not the only guilty player either. Jabari is bad about this too. As well as p-rob.

We have a pretty elite secondary if you subtract coverage and tackling skills.

Jenkins went to the Darren Sharper school of tackling. He has picked up his play the last couple of weeks though.

Is there a secondary in the NFL that is even above average sans pass rush?

Trey Wingo just said Jenkins deserves some votes for Defensive Player of the Year.

Uhhhhhhhhhh

Malcolm has made some big plays the past few weeks. The touchdown saving tackle against Tampa, the pass breakups against Atlanta, and the interception against Oakland. You c an argue whether he or Lofton has been our best player on defense this year. I know many posters have dogged on Malcolm most of this season but lets show him a little love in this thread. This is to you MJ. Keep it up

Fine with all of this.

Malcolm Jenkins is an absolute piss poor tackler.

Now who is overreacting?

Jenkins is a risk taker, that's all there is to it.

he's a lot better of a player now than he was when none of us was giving him credit, i.e. a few weeks ago

Prob, Jpat, and PatR kill me with always diving for the legs/shoestring tackles.
