Off to Hackberry for cast & blast

Leaving Thursday evening coming back Saturday evening.
Heard the flounder run is going pretty good there. Are they just concentrated at the weirs or where else could we find some in the lake?

Nice! Maybe this excursion will sway your concerns of fishermen and duck hunter coordination. Sounds like a blast!

Figured this post would provoke a response like this

The duck leases are not boat accessible.

Nahh, the guy I'm going with has huge duck leases to the west of Hackberry up against the Intracoastal and to the south of west cove.

If you are going to be on the Hackberry side, don't bother running to the weirs. Oyster bayou is chock-o-block full of flounder right now. West Cove North and West bank full of trout right now.

Good luck and post reports. My parents are at their camp in Joe's Cove right now since last weekend. Mopping up, and catch n release hah

Oyster bayou is full of flounder, the reds are stacked at the weirs, fish the birds early in the am or late in the pm for trout. A blind man could catch a limit of all 3 species right now.
