This thread led me to googled LHSAA state title winners over the years. my mind is blown with some of the schools at the top. I had no idea about Haynesville winning that many titles.

Haynesville is the most dominant 1A team of all-time. Seems like they are consistently in the hunt for the state title every year.

And are they a long way away from my high school.

All this playoff football talk lately had me goggling where all these schools were. Such a vast landscape of schools. I am truly fascinated with this right now!

As for as the North or South the south might have more talent yearly but there is no denying that the North produces just as much great footballers.

Would love to find a parish by parish break down on how many kids have gone on to play football over the years. pipe dream?

A list of state title winners

Sorry not Sims, Taijun Thomas is committed to Stanford. Sims is a big time junior prospect. Those are the 2 BCS WRs I was talking about though.

Last time Ouachita won the state title, I was broadcasting the game from the CBS radio booth in the Superdome.....

Yeah, I figured that's what you meant. I knew about Thomas.. but I was thinking to myself that Sims would be more inclined to go to an SEC school.

Rummel and Curtis have the 2 best S&C programs in South LA. They are also very well disciplined. There is a reason they are always 2 of the best south LA schools year in and year out

The HS programs that I am familiar and are perennial winners have outstanding JH programs too. WM for example, has a sign over their 2 JH's that say, " Home of the201(insert senior year of the 8th graders) State Champs." They set the bar from the get go.

West Ridge's 8th grade, a WM feeder, just went 24-0 in their junior high careers. WM just reloads.
