UT... respectable....

I never will repect UT theyre fans are terrible and Mack needs to retire. He couldn't find them a qb if his job depended on it.

However, if Texas declined a Cotton Bowl bid to avoid playing the Aggies, they would humiliated 1 billion times more than if they lose to the Aggies by 50. I could see them trying to get the CB to pick someone else and going to the Holiday Bowl, Mack Brown's 2nd home but they won't decline a bid.

Agreed. No way they decline.

The irrational anti-Texas tards are always entertaining.

I think a UT-A&M Cotton Bowl matchup would be a great game that I would love to see.

There is no f'n way Texas declines the Cotton Bowl. Yeah, screw over Dallas. Good plan for a TEXAS school. This conspiracy theory doesn't pass the laugh test.

I think TAMU beats Texas in a close game if they played.

It would be entertaining, a lot of points would be scored, and there would be a lot of drama.

Someone make this happen.

A&M would sweep and mop the floor with Texas

I mean...they each played Ole Miss and Texas demolished them while A&M really struggled to win.

Both of these.

I would be willing to bet Texas holds some power to prevent a Texas A&M matchup

I have no idea. I really don't understand the irrational hatred toward ND, Ohio State, or Texas. I guess some hatred toward USC was understandable for awhile, but it seems about time to get the frick over it.

Actually, the USC hatred was even more irrational than the others because LSU hasn't played USC since before many of the USC hating posters were born.

I'm not so much into the conspiracy theories, but I do believe given the options available, Texas could lobby to get out of the bid before it actually ever gets extended, just as LSU lobbied to get into it back in 05. If the other options were Ole Miss and Okie St or something, agree that there is not much UT could do. But there are 4 very attractive options out there...UT, LSU, OU and A&M. Any of those combos would pack Jerryworld.

it's misplaced and as you know, I've never shared it, but I sort of understand it. LSU was a 2nd tier power for over 40 years, final gets a chance to shine and media anger over the BCS sort over shadowed LSU's great season for that month long build up.

As far as Texas, OSU and ND, that's just because they are national program.

Yeah...but LSU didn't go back to being a 2nd tier power. They weren't Tampa Bay Bucs, that wasn't their one shining moment of glory that USC overshadowed...at no fault of their own, they were #1 in both polls..and you can't really hate the media...they were #1 in the coaches poll too. Is the media not supposed to bother with who is sitting atop the polls?

I think the anger was misplaced then and to continue it after LSU has continued to win is pretty petty and lame. Go back to hating Bama and Auburn.
