Everyone in front of us losing, except for Ohio State

Primarily:

1) LSU beating UT in the SEC title game (which allowed us to jump Georgia)
2) Oklahoma actually winning a big game by beating Missouri (who was #1 I think) a second time in the Big 12 title game
3) Pitt beating #2 West Virginia on the road as around a 30 point underdog.

On top of that, the day started off with reports on Gameday that Miles was leaving LSU to coach Michigan, which led to the famous press conference.

What does the M stand for in MNC? I can't figure it out for anything and I'm sure it's simple

We jumped VT and UGA even without them losing.

We crushed V Tech by 5 TDs so we leapfrogged them after the SECCG even though they started the day ahead of us.

UGA got beat by 20+ by Tennessee which kept them from SECCG.

Also part of the late climb was the Miles-to-Miles-to-Bonnette flea flicker.

Totally forgot that part. Va Tech actually ended up 3rd in the BCS, UGA was 4. This was also forgotten by UGA fans who bitched and moaned about how they deserved to be in over LSU (why, I'm not exactly sure).

Was it 2003 or 2007 when the outcome of the Hawaii game had an impact? I remember staying up to 2 AM pulling for them to beat whoever they were playing.

These frickers know nothing about football. The BCS is not Mythical. The 12 out of 26 titles that Bama claim are Mythical, the AP is Mythical, but the Crystal Ball is not Mythical. It's a tangible trophy in which the NC hoist after winning the game.

It wasn't '03. I want to say it was '06. That's when that kid Colt Brennan was the QB at Hawaii. I think they played UGA in the Sugar Bowl.
