If LSU takes care of business this year, wins a "top fleet" bowl and stays healthy and out of trouble through the off-season, they should be the preseason #1 or #2 to start next year.

You're right, we're getting the equivalent of the Fleet bowl.

Respectuflly disagree. Though our entire offense should be coming back, we lose a lot on D going into next year.

The early polls for next year will most likely be:

ND or Bama #1
ND or Bama #2
Oregon #3
UF #4
LSU #5

I'd rather start at #5 then #1

A&M will be top 3.

Guess what happened the year after we played in the Cotton Bowl the last two times. Hint 2002 and 2011

Isn't that how we started this year?

Yayyyy

Preseason

What do we play like 60 good teams in a row while Bama plays 2?

Plus we have to beat the Refs and them in tuscalooser while all the while passing the "eyeball test" and having not more than one "quality loss"

Forgot about A&M. You are correct.
USCe will also be top 10. Guess my point being, of the teams currently in the top 10 (excluding K State), most will return much of their squads next year. Additionally, Ohio St. will be off of probation and be highly ranked and elgible for a bowl again.

I think we'll have a strong squad, but not #1. Definitely top 10 though.
