We could be 6 tomorrow. Maybe 5 if our computer can push us over Oregon.

Auburn isn't beating Alabama, so in order to play in the national championship game, we'd need:

Florida State over Florida
Alabama over Georgia
USC over Notre Dame BIG

We need a big ND loss so they drop far, similar to what will happen to Kansad State after what happened tonight.

Those three have to happen. Some that might not be necessary, but we still need:

Oregon State over Oregon
ACC Champ over Florida State

Basically, we really need Notre Dame to lose big. And shite man, there is going to be so much pressure on them next week. And as bad as USC has looked, this will be by far the best group athletes at the skill positions that ND has faced all season. And they're on the road.

Notre Dame will hear the #1 talk all week long. They'll hear how they're one game away. They're going to feel the pressure. It's one of the biggest game maybe in Notre Dame history. A perfect storm is brewing.

Only qualification: They have to lose big. There has to be no doubt in order for the pollsters to give a two-loss team the nod.

This is what I've been saying. Not sure if ND loss has to be big because the computer hasn't been favorable to them. Would certainly push us over the top though.

Wait... If Bama finishes 11-1 and LSU finishes 10-2... WE go to the title game over Bama???? Thats what it looks like you are saying.

Our only chance is to play Alabama in the title game.

If Georgia beats Alabama:
a) Georgia goes to the BCSNC
b) Alabama would be ahead of us in the pecking order because they beat us.

We have to play Alabama.

If we move to 5 this week then next week USC beats ND and FSU beats Florida. Both fall below us and we jump to 3 behind Bama and Georgia. Bama beats Georgia securing LSU at number 2 and sealing their own demise. Pretty ironic right?

If we move to 6 just add another loss for Oregon to either Oregon St or more likely UCLA.

We won't stay at 7.

Way more likely Oregon State beats Oregon than UCLA.

Stanford just barely beat Oregon State.

Oregon will probablly still be ahead of us of us they need to lose.

notre Dame has to lose and so does florida.

Kstates non factor now loss was so bad to an unranked team they will be lucky to be in the top 10 maybe 9 or something.
