Please explain why you would pull for another conference over SEC team

Whan a SEC team wins over another conference it makes LSU look good. It is like a small victory for every SEC team. So please explain why you would pull against any SEC team playing out of conference unless you went to that school?

1. The SEC has street cred already. Under equal circumstances, an SEC team will currently be perceived as better. undefeated SEC>undefeated anyone. 1 loss SEC> 1 loss anyone. That's all you can ask for, we won. Thus, a third bama championship in 4 years and is diminishing returns at this point. In 2004-2007 that was not necessarily the case.

I look at it the other way...it helps us in recruiting when hs kids see us winning bowl games, and conference schools that are competing for the same kids are losing

I am as big of a cheerleader for the conference as you will find. Me and my dad argue about this regarding Alabama all the time. I just can't pull for Alabama this year. I pulled for them against Texas, but I won't if they somehow make it to the championship game this year.

Because we have some of the dumbest fans on the planet and they think by saying how much they hate bama somehow makes them a better fan than others

That's very short-sighted of you. Bama winning multiple championships looks good on the recruiting trail for one team and one team only...and it isn't LSU.

It's all about recruiting. I have uncles who are huge Texas fans and they have stated they would NEVER root for Oklahoma in a Championship game. I somewhat understand what you're saying b/c LSU has really been the only team that has consistently stood toe to toe with Bama over the past few years, but ultimately, a Bama dynasty helps LSU in no way
