Honestly, it is one of the 100 Greatest Games ever. It's the pinnacle the Wii is built on.

ME3 is probably one of the most emotionally engaging games made. Set aside the hatred for the ending (revised ending isn't that bad, and I'm actually cool with it), and look at all the tough decisions you had to make during the game and all the loved characters you had to sacrifice.

I loved every second of that game except for the very end and with the new endings, I still liked those last few minutes. Very few games drew me in as much as ME3 did.
You have no idea how much I'm holding back right now.

Looking at IGN's Top 10, and 6 out of 10 of those games are not in Time's Top 100. What a joke.

Yea, I would like to know what their selection process was.

Games that writers for Time have played...

No Super Mario 3, Super Mario World, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart, RBI Baseball, Duck Hunt, etc., etc., etc.

That list is really pitiful.

If you can't find fun in Wii bowling, then your childhood is dead. But no, Nintendo tends to build consoles with a single game as its test, and thus the controller is almost always best used with that specific game. N64 was designed around Mario 64 and they added the C buttons when they figured they needed camera buttons for the game to work. The Gamecube was designed around Smash Bros Melee, which is why that will always be the best possible controller to play the franchise on. And these were the games they used to make sure the Wii worked, and they just packaged the game with it so people would get the Wii immediately. It was Wii Sports that initially sold the Wii to the audience. Therefore it is more than qualified for being in the Top 100 games ever made.

Maybe, I blame TIME for making such a shitty and cluttered list. IMO it doesn't belong on the same list that has Deus Ex, KoToR, Civilization, etc.

Did they have a one game per franchise thing or something?

I mean one arcade mario and one console mario
One final fantasy
one zelda
one metal gear
one mass effect (and the worst of the 3)
etc

They had two Mario games and two Metroid games, so no.

Tetris and Street Fighter 2 should be in any top 5....I cannot believe some people voted that they don't belong in the top 100!

The ending of ME3 negated every single moment of greatness contained in 1,2 and 99% of 3 and the "new" ending didn't do a damned thing to change that. There is no reason that ME3 should be anywhere close to a top 1000000 list much less a top 100 list.

The Star Child is the single worst idea that a major IP has ever implemented. Inexcusable.

Yes, I am mad.

ME3 shite all over itself long before the ending when they decided to negate one of the harder decisions you had to make back in ME1 by bringing back the Rachni if you destroyed them. From that point on, it was completely downhill.

So many games missing from this list. Smash, Mario kart, OOT, one ARTS(Dota or LoL), and all of those games are top 10 arguable.

Looking at the overall polls is interesting. A lot of hate for FF Tactics. (Its in my personal top 100, but I understand others dislike.)

Everyone agrees animal crossing and angry birds don't deserve to be on the list either.

Honestly, angry birds was a 15 minute diversion that was a fad for about 3 months.

I don't know how I forgot about that. It's probably because I had two playthroughs where I chose different options for the Rachni in ME1 and my first, and only, playthrough of ME3 used the saved Rachni Shepard.

I need to stop thinking about this game because it pisses me off too much.
