What does Dallas offer him that nola doesn't.....professionally?

The only thing that legitimately makes sense is his kids are in Dallas....but professionally...there is no reason to go get micro-managed in jerry world.

How do you know he wants the Dallas job?

Where did this rumor even come from?
It's old.

What has Payton said to make people think that?

I also think pulling him away from NOLA will be harder because that will mean breaking up his super team of coaches he has built. I do not see Vitt picking up and leaving to go with him to Dallas.

Duncan can kiss my arse. I had some respect for him in the past and corresponded with him directly. He has turned increasingly anti-Saints.

Under Payton they do run a tight ship as to media access. They're generally give out as little info as possible. (Vitt on Corey White Monday, team fined in the past for not having guys on the injury report, etc). Then if you stand up to them, dig too hard, or write too scathingly your access is all the less. This is speculated about Duncan as the beat writer for the Saints. After he was moved out of the beat he seemed to vent anti-Payton venom all the more. For Bountygate it seemed as he was more a lackey for Goodell.

How coincidental that after trouncing the birds and fans excitement is elevating he comes out with this crap that provides nothing new or different than what we already know concerning the situation.

quote:

I could handle this on lunch break at Kinko's and save everyone a lot of time and effort. It certainly would save the Who Dat Nation a lot of unnecessary consternation. There's only one logical reason why Payton's deal hasn't been finalized.

As he said, he is no Scott Boras. He has no clue what has, has not, or what might be going on concerning this. Then he trivializes with writing that is more like speculation and rants we see here.

quote:

People close to the situation believe this is why the contract imbroglio has persisted for so long?

This sorta "people close to the situation" is a hallmark for bullshite writing. Definitely not "sources within the organization". I can write the same that sources close to the Times-Picayune believe Duncan is a closeted raging homosexual and not be liable. I'm close to the T-P. I read it every day.

No blame, judgement or negativity intended. I'm completely on board with the energy and character this team is showing right now. It's fun to watch Saint's football again.

My point was specifically that it does no good to worry about what's beyond your control. BTW I'm betting he'll be back as well.

I've said this before: I don't see Payton leaving Drew. As long as they're together, they have a shot at the title. I can see him going somewhere else after Brees retires.

nope. completely separate deals from players to coaches related to the teams. Same way that Payton has no recourse (like Vilma).

c'mon, at least have a modicum of rationality or you jump from shite stirring to trolling.

I'll say this.

It's a good thing that Brees isn't playing under the franchise tag this year.

Feel free. I don't have an account and I'll be damned if I make one to comment on a Jeff Duncan article, even if it is to request he move to Texas.

why is commenting on the very real possibility of SP leaving for Dallis 'shite stirring' or 'trolling'? Are you THAT fricking insecure that you can't stand people who think differently from your retarded arse?

you make no case but that it doesn't smell right to you and are quick to start name calling anyone not agreeing with you

that is at least shite stirring even if you are incapable of elucidating some points.
