ron paul farewell address to congress

LINK

Can't say that I remember a speech with so much blatant truth.

Rush gave him huge praises this morning.

Edit: But I disagree with one point. The message of liberty is not difficult to explain. The masses simply don't want to hear it. As Boortz said 10 years ago. People are frightened by liberty.

It's a fricking shame that man will never be president. We should all be ashamed of ourselves for allowing the last election to come down to Obama/Romney

To Dr. Ron Paul

I really defy anyone on either side to find any fault in anything he said.

That just exceeded the truth quotient for every word spoken in that room for the next 50 years.

He retired, didn't stand with him on every issue, but I would take him over romney or obama. He has done alot to create that 3rd party that this country sorely needs imho.

The 3rd and final debate between these two statists was quite funny. They basically just sat there and agreed with each other. It was foreign policy by the way. They both talked about how they love them some drone wars.

If America really looked for substance in a debate instead of the candiate being stylish and looking pretty, Ron Paul would rip both big gov't statists a new a-hole IMHO.

100% agree, but RP would have gotten demagouged to hell and back by obama on many of his stances.

I hope he continues to speak and spread his message. I love his stances on foreign policy and civil liberties. If his economic stances weren't so radical I'd vote for him. Combine his foreign policy and civil liberties views with Clinton on the economy and I'd put the crown on his head myself.

CRA.

A litany of public programs that RP would do away with if president.

CRA would be the big one though.

The guy is an ideological fool. He speaks of an 'intellectual awakening' ,but is on stage with Herman Cain, Rick Perry, Bachmann... & caucuses with the party of Akin, Mourdock....

If he truly had a pair he would not have been afraid to upset the GOP & run as an independent, but instead he retired with a wimper without changing the GOP.

In the primaries with neo-cons & religious nuts the guy knew he had no chance nor did he change the overall party debate/platform.

Sad because his Foreign policy ideas(less extreme) & Social policy beliefs would be well recieved among Progressives.

What was this man's endgame?

And like fightin tiger said, his fiscally conservative stances. I agree that Obama would scare the masses that Ron Paul wants to take away entitlement programs, subsidies, and what ever unnecessary spending we have in.

Ron Paul also supports getting rid of dept of education. He understands that it serves no purpose and is best left up to the states. Obama would use that as a wedge issue to scare the masses also.

I support that also.

I don't know if I'm cool with Mississippi choosing it's own curriculum. I'm not really sure if I'm ok with California choosing theirs.
