so here is the trade that was proposed, accepted and went trough:

Team A ( mathematically eliminated from the Playoffs)traded Ray Rice(161 pts)/Torrey Smith(117 pts)

to

Team B (tied for last playoff spot with 4 other teams)for
Darren Mcfadden(98 pts)/Dwayne Bowe (111 pts)

So, usually when there is a trade it is discussed in our "Pod" which is similar to a group text so that everyone can decided to vote for or against it. Well this one was never mentioned by the two involved so no one in the league knew to check transactions until it was already too late and the trade had gone through. The two who made the trade are claiming it is our fault for not checking it every day and voting against it. Everyone else is saying yes we should check it every day but it's an absolute horse shite trade and goes against the integrity of the league

What are your thoughts? both people trading actually post and will probably be here to defend themselves.

Those two are losers IMO. I can't understand people who feel the need to try and cheat to win. I'm super competetive but I would much rather lose playing fair than cheating or doing something lame to win.

Do yall get email alerts when trades are accepted as well?

ETA: I think it's a complete bullshite trade though. Wouldn't surprise me if some money was given or promised to the losing party for making that trade though.

They suck for doing this, but they are right about it being your fault for missing it. Hard for me to fathom that no one in the league noticed the pending trade and brought it to the attention of everyone else.

Dude, don't tell me it was Honkus? I was in a college fb league with him this year and he was solid all year.

And to the OP, some similar shite happened in our league, not involving Honkus or any of the regulars that I see on here.

This is a hard one. It's a bullshite trade, but I don't see how the rest of the members were that busy not to see this trade accepted especially with a time frame to veto.

I am the commish, have been for 5 years, I am not going to change anything because it went through "fairly". Just wanted to get other opinion

also, we don't check transactions daily because we have never had an issue with this

not big money, $20 a person,14 team league, don't care too much just have time to kill

Good point. I did not catch that in the OP. You got to check that shite on the reg dude.

And the one that happened in our college league went through with no chance to veto.

I don't know why someone that is already eliminated from the playoffs would even do a trade.

Just chalk it up to a learning experience. At the very least y'all will be more aware and check the chatroom more often to prevent it from happening again.

said he didn't know he was eliminated even though he is 3-7 with 3 weeks left before we start the playoffs

the trade went through tues-wed night, after checking Monday night I usually don't mess with it until Thursday morning so that's why it was missed. Had they done it Wednesday it would have been vetoed in a heart beat

Team A: Hey dude I'll buy you lunch tomorrow if you trade me Ray Rice.

Team B: Sure, I'm already out the playoffs. I don't care.
