BTW - When Huey Lewis's Sports album (and I mean vinyl 33rpm) came out, I saved up money and wanted it so bad, but my parents didn't think I should have it because it had I Want a New Drug on there and this was during the Nancy Reagen "Just Say No" campaign. They thought the song would lead to us using drugs... After a month of begging and promising that I'd never do drugs, they let me buy it.
I held a listening party in the driveway for the rest of the neighborhood.

Duran Duran = always solid. What about Pet Shop Boys?
And why is Justin Beiber in the background on every youtube video? Can't get away from that swish britches.

Joe Jackson - Steppin' Out
must have heard that song a million times on Grand Theft Auto- Vice City
of course that game was kinda a spin off of Miami Vice. Loved that show when I was kid. That show had plenty of cheesey 80's tunes.
Glenn Frey- You Belong To the City
Phil Collins- Long, Long Way to Go
John Parr- Naughty Naughty
Mr. Mister- Kyrie (at the beginning of the clip)
Godley&Creme- Cry
usually watch those clips to recall the show but it definitely has some cheesey music in there. Crockett shot Ted Nugent in that last clip.

My Dad loves 80s music, probably why i like it so much. He has a few stories like that. There's home videos of me as a young buck in diapers dancing around our sound system while my dad blared GnR, Van Halen, Rolling Stones (Tattoo You), Michael Jackson, Prince, Ac/Dc, journey...
I never stood a chance. Combine that with my early teenage found love for rock of the 60s and 70s, and most bands i grew up loving where dead before i was old enough to appreciate them lol.
And speaking of 80s music: I was also a huge weird al fan as a kid (still am), even saw him at the Saenger a long time ago. I'll defend his music and my worship of it to the grave. Funnier and more entertaining than any stand up routine ive seen. He is one of those guys that gets alot of hate now for whatever reason, but UHF is another one of my go to movies. Filled with famous people before they were famous.
Anyway, I want a new Duck used to make me laugh my arse off.

Love some Power Station (Some Like It Hot). Robert Palmer was good there and solo. Always dressed to the 9's

I watched The Breakfast Club a couple nights ago and found myself bobbing my head to "Don't You Forget About Me."
