Looking for a good steak and good bourbon somewhere in downtown Kansas City, MO. Any help would be appreciated.

You need to check Michael Smith's for a top shelf meal. I remeber they had a dry aged steak on the menu(or a special, actually), when I was there. The place is excellent for high end cuisine. I expect they'll have good burbons, but they are known for their wine list.

I ate at a Pierponts and it was reasonable, steak was awesome. Not sure on their bourbon but the desserts were killer.

J. gilberts is the best but I did not make there on my last trip. This place boasts about their scotches and bourbons

Isn't Oklahoma Joe's in KC?

Man, if you are in KC you really should spring for some barbecue. Oklahoma Joes is one of Bourdains 13 places to eat before you die, but I thought Gates and Sons is way better.

I second the OK Joes BBQ! Good stuff. Jack Stack was also good.
