I'm going with St. Louis Rams. Though, his brother is gonna get canned along with Jason Garrett in Dallas. So, depending on who they bring in, he could end up there.

Still going with the Rams though.

It would be a colossal mistake to fire Rex he's overachieved like crazy with the Jets.

The problem is I think he's lost the locker room and his antics have made his team into a circus. But I agree with you that Rex doesn't get enough credit for his coaching ability. You don't beat Peyton Manning's Colts and Tom Brady's Patriots on the road in the playoffs with Mark Sanchez as your QB without having some serious coaching ability.

The circus was fine when they were winning. The Jets minus Revis are one of the 5 least talented teams in the NFL but I bet he finds away to get them to a respectable 7 wins

Why would Rob Ryan be canned? Even if Garrett gets fired there is a very good chance that Ryan is retained for the next coach.

Even at 4-5, Dallas has a top 10 defense and thats with at least 2-3 players out on defense. Ryan has done his job, but Garrett looks to be on his deathbed.

Defense:
24th ranked points allowed/game
17th ranked yards allowed/game
30th ranked rushing yards allowed/game
6th ranked passing yards allowed/game

Offense:
16th ranked rushing offense
27th ranked passing offense
30th ranked total offense

They are 3-6 on the year. But, in their remaining 7 games, they only play one team who currently has a winning record, the Patriots. They would still have to win 4/6 to get to 7 wins. And, i'm not sure 7-9 is gonna save Rex's job. The team appears to be falling apart. I could see them losing every game except Jacksonville. At 4-12, he's definitely gone, right?

That's generally what happens when you hire a new coach. They bring in their own staff. If Jerry Jones forces a coach to keep Rob Ryan he's going to have a very, very short list to choose from. Plus, rumors are already circulating about Rob Ryan and college head coaching jobs. I can't imagine he's going to wait around, just in case a new coach keeps him.

Jerry Jones has always hand picked the staff. Parcells may have been the only coach to pick some of his own staff.

And Ryan wants to hold out for an NFL job, which he could get in the next few years. I've heard the college thing, but I'm not seeing it right now.

If JJ wants to keep Ryan for next year, he will most likely still be here.

you assume that unlike every coach that has ever coached for Jerry Jones, that Rob Ryan likes working for him.

He has no reason not to. JJ has given him a lot of personnel that he wanted like Carr and Mo. And JJ can afford to give him almost any contract he wants.

No coach has truly hated coaching for JJ unless they are just as power hungry like Parcells or Johnson.

I think they both stay.

what benefit is that? They have a horrible offense and Garrett has cost his teams games with stupid coaching.

Unless Jerry Jones just doesn't care about winning anymore, I can't see any situation in which Jason Garrett is the head coach next year.

Rex Ryan is a buffoon and an embarrassment. Any team that hires him is asking for everything they get.

Rex Ryan is a good coach stuck inbetween a rock and a hard place

If he shuts his trap on the guarentees and stops trying to be the coach "all the players want to play for" I think he could be way more consistent and be one of the top coaches in the league

The problem is doing that goes completely against his personality/beliefs and is deteremined to show that a coach like that can be a good thing. Swallowing a pride pill like that is too big even for his oversized gullet

Also he cant go back on all the shite hes said as the Jets coach. He has to move on to a new job and shut his trap to be a long term sucess imo
