I don't disagree that Lee was generally not good against Bama. But let's not forget that it was J Lee that threw the long completion in 2010 to seal the deal.

He also threw the game winner in 2010 at Florida.

He had his bad games for sure but he had a lot of great moments too.

Jarrett Lee won 8 games before being replaced.

He played like crap against Alabama. Had a QB career rating of 60 playing them and was an int throwing machine almost any time he faced them.

Why does no one remember that LSU led the league in passing efficiency nearly all season last year?

You don't do that when you have "no QB".

Understatement of all time.

Oh I have no beef against Lee. I was one of the few on here in 08 saying Crowton was the main problem, not Lee, and believed he could do well last year after JJ got suspended.

My comment was strictly referring to him against Bama, and how I'm sure it would have been even more of a disaster if he went in on 1/9.

Like, Pick 6 disaster.

Sadly,it wasn't necessary though. It was a self inflicted wound.

But we won with defense, and special teams, and good coaching in those areas...but poor coaching on the offensive side of the ball.

Passing efficiency doesn't mean crap when your passing offense sucks.

this. efficent does not equal great nor good

that being said, it is a huge statement on the coaching staff that they were able to have atleast quality seasons in 08 and 09

another thing that I will put in here is I get very heated when one of the national talking heads states " It's impossible for someone to go undefeated in the SEC"

like last year never happened. fricking begging for a rematch fricks

Great running game with the RBs and JJ. Our defense this year is a little weaker than what we have had the past few years, but still a great D that gets TOs and TDs. And our ST scored a bunch the past few years.

Great running game
Defense
Special Teams

First of all having the best Passing Efficiency means your passing game doesn't suck.

Second of all, you can't lead the league in passing efficiency when you don't have a QB.

That is all, thank you and you may now return to your regularly scheduled idiocy...

How we didn't go under .500 in 2008 will ALWAYS blow my mind

we were a pretty talented bunch, we weren't gonna be sub .500.

I still can't believe that team didn't win 9 or 10 in the regular season.

Lee had ONE bad half of football last year and Les used it as an excuse to bring back his boy. He played great before the Bama game and was never given a chance to redeem himself.

Stupid post of the year candidate

efficient - performing or functioning in the best possible manner with the least waste of time and effort; having and using requisite knowledge, skill, and industry; competent; capable:

Miles clearly doesnt know how to use a passing QB anymore. Took him until the 9th game to turn Mett lose. Almost everyone said we needed to be doing that against Townson, Idaho, Auburn etc. to prepare for this part of the season. Miles was too stubborn. Two losses later, he gets a clue.

I also love how the WR drops get called out for drops this year, but Lee was thge problem last year. OBUDan even pictorialized how all the drops were Lees fault

I've said dumber things after this

and your not getting my point. I know the definition

this is a game. can't always put definition's into a game.

It's fine that LSU's pass eff was tops of the SEC last year

while LSU could not or would not throw over the middle, throw more than 12-15 times a game and were pretty basic

so I would argue that the passing game did what it could do very well. But that doesn't mean it was a good or great passing attack. It means in a very small concise way, they functioned well

ask it to do more and it was a total failure

we will never know, because since 2008 Miles would never throw over the middle. No matter who was the OC

Other coaches do watch film. It wasnt that hard to detect
