If he's smart, and Im not saying this bc I want Him to stay, he will come back.

If he gets the opportunity it was soley bc ofthe last 2 games + remaining games. That's enough to get him in. A full year of performing like that will get him the dough.

LSU fans are often delusional when it comes to the ability of their players. Mett aint ready yet. He has a long way to go and will only benefit from spending time in our system. I find it interesting how if we have a player who excels for a game or two, he is in the running for the Heisman trophy. As a famous guy once said, "NOT SO FAST"!

100%

It took him 9 games to get used to the speed of the game. He leaves now he is a low draft pick at best. He comes back he could be a top QB. It makes no sense for him to leave

It's a shame that he only has one year of eligibility left. I'm glad he ( along with the O-line has finally come around) but I hate that all of last year and much if this year was wasted.

He ain't Cam Newton. He is showing signs of improvement with each game. Yes got strong arm but lacks pocket presence, stares down recivers, footwork?? Needs work on reading defense and picking up blitz. Not ready for prime time. That being said another college year with proper coaching and lot of work and film watching his stock will definitely improve.

He has the entire offense coming back next year except for 2 offensive lineman. He would be crazy to go pro. His stock could sky rocket his senior season IMO.

teeMike, you nailed it. I think there is a chance Mett goes this year but only if he lights it up the next three games. That would give scouts an impressive 5 game stretch to conclude Mett has the mental qualities. They've always known he has the physical ones. But, as teeMike wrote, he can have a Heisman candidate type year and be all over ESPN next year. This does more than elevate him in the scouts' opinions, it gives him a brand, and that's worth money. Think Reggie Bush as an example. I'm guessing he stays (80/20).

NO WAY is he NFL ready. Great arm. Improving a lot. But he locks in on receivers, is still growing in sensing pressure, touch is pretty poor, and he makes some really poor throws from time to time.

2 of his touchdowns in recent weeks were the result of pretty spectacular catches. (Landry and Ware)

There is no way we are in NOLA last January with him playing last year. This year he has played nearly every down. How is that wasted?

There is no frickin way he turns pro after this year. He could throw for 1,000 yards thae last 2 games and wouldn't.

The guy wouldnt get drafted in the first five rounds and has no real body of work to boost his stock. He stands only to gain by sticking around another year.

100%.....and I'm 95% certain that he will be an undrafted free agent in April 2014. (Not "hating", I hope he improves and moves up the list of QBs next year.)

Not sure if your post was serious, but I suggest you compile a list of QBs that will be in the draft next April and competing with Mett. Over the last 4-5 years, only 12-13 QBs are typically drafted. I think Flynn went as the 12th QB pick (out of 13) in 2008. I doubt Mett would even get a combine invite, unless he blows the doors off the last games.
