It's definitely "style" points from here on out - LSU football time!

Call me crazy and a little old-fashioned but didn't they always teach you to "play for the last shot" with the game on the line. That's sports and that's football. I guarantee you if LSU had been passing well up to the Ala. game the Tigers would have come very, very close if not score a TD in the final 51 seconds. That's what upsets me the most about that game. The way LSU did not compete well in the final minute after Ala. scored. A re-match should/will prove it.
I regress no further....
Style points are big-time important now more than any other college football season. Used to be you had a significant #1 at the end of the season and many potential #2 contenders. THIS particular college season NO team has assured themselves of a trip to Miami IF THEY WIN OUT - and 3 of them are still undefeated! Oregon probably as good a sure-thing as there is and their remaining schedule is SEC-like. KState and UT will be epic! Texas is playing great football. ND and USC will go down to the final drive of the 4th qtr probably.... So what if everyone that "TRULY" believed they had a legitimate shot at the national championship were to lose over the next 3 weeks. Would a 2-loss team have any true merit?
Well, we know from the current top10 in BCS it better damn sure be an SEC team. Humor? Moving on: This is where "style" points come in *IMO. I know as LSU fans this decade "style" was equivalent to a "W." Well our W's didn't happen twice already this season - but we did go 2-2 against top 10 teams and that's not too shabby. If LSU or all the 1-loss teams in college football for that matter (and there are not that many right now) want to move up the proverbial ladder to a seat at the final table winning with style and efficiency WILL TRULY MATTER THIS COLLEGE FOOTBALL SEASON. It helps prove you are THE best team in the country right now. Who knows? CBS and the whole college football world will be watching LSU and rival Ole Miss on national TV Sat. afternoon in Tiger Stadium. It sure would be nice to see LSU put up some "style" points and dominate their opponents in all phases like the old days again. It's been a while but I think we're just getting started. NEXT!
Geaux Tigers!

Well TigerWatts the short version is that LSU still has a shot at the BCS national championship as #2 seed this season. A lot of crazy 2007 crap has to happen but I can see it getting interesting with all the great games coming up for the contenders. Great time to be a college football fan and hope for the best. 'Bama losing to ATM was just the start! Geaux Tigers!

Didn't read a word of that novel, but I agree that beat downs of Ole Miss and Arkansas will give LSU the nod over A&M

So what's the O/U on what you read? 4 lines, 1 & 1/2 sentences?

I guess maybe if every team in front loses all the rest of their games. Mathematically I guess it can happen. Sure.

Your post is a bit wordy. As such, I did not read it.
