I was seeing a decline over the last 2 seasons and now I'm at the point where I may stop watching. Its the same, rehashed story lines, a bunch of crap about a dark passenger, a 'lethal' woman he shouldn't be with and plots that are becoming laughably easy to predict.

Seems like the writing has gone to the dogs. Anyone else feel this way?

New season has been legit. Last season was horrible. I enjoy the Russian guy. He's a great addition.

I would say 1 and 4 are both tops for me. 2 was pretty great as well and I would say this one follows. 5 and 6 were alright, but this one has really amped shite up

I started watching this show and homeland this season. I have never picked up on a show with as little background info as I have when I started dexter. But I watch it while going to bed and I definitely want to pick up the first 6? seasons when I get a chance.

I know it sounds completely retarded but it has gone pretty nicely. I was quite shocked when I found out Dexter and the lieutenant were siblings and the guy he was talking to was his dead father who actually helped him hone his lust for killing.

don't remember it being shocking....I was shocked when I found out that Dexter and Deb(his sister) were actually married in real life.

Well keep in mind I just started watching it this current season. I just decided to record it and have jumped right in the middle of the series.

It's ok. I'm in total agreement. I think my problem is I watch it right after I watch Walking Dead and you really can't compare the two.

You're right, Dexter is written and acted well and The Walking Dead survives on zombies and guns.

It is kinda lame how pretty much all of the cops have some bullshite pulling them down.Take Batista for example, he is a good cop who no longer feels appreciated and wants to do something else. Okay, we get it, just retire. Who could really blame him? The leadership in that department is terrible and its Dexter's fault

everything Dexter touches turns to shite. Just like Doakes warned him it would. A few of the cops will likely meet their maker in this season and in one way or another they have Dexter to thank for it. I hope I'm wrong though, that is why I keep watching.

Been a Dexter fan since season 1. I've watched and loved the show but I can't help notice them trying to repeat the same old formula. I guess I'll watch as long as I can but I miss the first 3 or 4 seasons at this point. I might stop watching if Deb and Dexter become a pair. That shite is just wrong if you ask me.

Well, they aren't blood, so the writers could probably get away with it if they wanted to really shock people.

wow a lot of denial in this thread. OP...I finally realized that the writers were out of tricks with the Hanna McKay story line. The writers are noticeably out of fresh material. The Russian's good acting is the only real intriguing part about this season.

I also love that the show is becoming more unbelievable every episode just to compensate and fill in where the tired story cant.
