Our staff did not pull Williams' offer, so that part isn't true but our staff has backed off him. He's still a take in all likliehood but he isn't the priority nor is the staff waiting around for him to get shite together. His spot is open to other prospects on the board and not guaranteed any longer, at least at this point. Huge questions about his academic standing among other things. The point of the whole discussion is to not be suprised or upset when he isn't in the class. All of that could change at any time but he's down the board at the moment.

Little piece on Round 2 playoff games. Opposing coach says Tim Williams reminds him of Rasco (who also came out of 2A). Also nice props for U-High's other prospects.

Im hearing academic issues too. Perhaps thats why we supposedly "backed off" of him in the past few weeks because he might have to go to JUCO/prep school. Hes a good player, but I still want Beckwith over him. Williams kinda sounds like a primadonna. Id still take him, but I think he could be a bit of a bust. On the other hand, I think Beckwith is underrated and will be a player from day 1.

So a guy that works for a recruiting site and covers all our recruits and has for years is WAYYY off about a big issue and shouldn't listen to him, yet I should believe that we haven't backed off him because you said it?? Any sources that back up what you're saying?
And it sounds like hes not going to come to LSU anyways. Miami and FSU are in the lead. Maybe we just didnt want to wait on him til NSD because it sounds like he wont be at LSU and went out and got on other DEs...

Haha man you're the 1 saying outlandish shite. Saying we didn't back off him, but wont tell me where you get your info from or what you know, except that we didn't back off from him. And how do you know your right and Scarborough is wrong? Please tell me what you know and where you got it from. While I got info from a guy whose job is to report LSU recruiting info and has done it for quite a while now. At least there is some evidence saying we did back off of him. Ill listen to Scarborough over a TD poster with no sources or evidence.
And I want Tim Williams here. Im not bashing the kid. Im trying to figure out if he moved on or if we moved on, or if nothing has changed.

You trust Scarborough too much. That's fine, but it doesn't mean he's infallible.

Whether or not you choose to believe it is fine. I trust the person I talk to way more than I trust a guy just trying to get subscribers.
And besides, I'm not exactly claiming some big insider status. I have no clue where Williams will end up. I just know that we haven't stopped pursuing him.

No I dont. When he says something I read it and take it for what its worth. Thats all. Hes been wrong numerous times, but hes been right on some too. Its his job to do this kinda stuff so you gotta think hes getting his info from someone closer to the situation then you and I.
And i never said we stopped pursuing him. I said back off. Which means still recruiting him, just not as hard as before for numerous reasons, the main 1 is because it indeed sounds like hes not going to be at LSU.
And you trust the person you talk to, thats fine. I just want to know what that person knows, where that person gets info from, and how is he connected with the program. Thats all.
