For some reason it is taking forever to hit the shelves in Louisiana. Languishing at the distributor for some reason. Plenty of other states have already had their allotment, including Texas.

No. If it has, my distributor dropped the ball, but he is supposed to be saving a couple bottles for me, and I haven't received a call.

Anyone know of any place in the N.O. area that might get some of this stuff?
I'm guessing the supply will be tighter than ever this year since they have received so much good press lately and high rankings.

The distributor I use told me his supply is sold before it even gets to him, and his stock never even sees the stores.
Basically meaning you need to contact your local liquor store and try to get a bottle reserved.

I bought a bottle at the National Championship game earlier this year at a store on Decatur Street just down from Central Grocery. Don't remember the name of the store though. I was really surprised to see a bottle after Christmas. They had the 15yr for $85 and the 20yr for $145

My contact at Van Winkle confirmed for me a short time ago that it was shipped in early October. She indicated that in many cases it may still be at the distributor, but in many States its already sold.

Some states have received shipment, but LA has not. 100%.
