According to Rivals

I find it interesting that recruits aren't taking to the newfound success of KSU's program. Could it be due to the fact that Snyder won't be around much longer?

Eta: I know this has nothing to do with LSU recruiting, but this makes me realize how good we have it being in an area of the country that is rich in talent year in and year out.

It's KSU, they never recruit well.

Snyder is just an amazing job this year, but one has to think K-State's lack of talent would hurt them vs. an Oregon, Bama, etc... type of team.

I guess there isn't exactly a "mad rush" for recruits to go live in Manhattan, Kansas for 3-4 years.

Hell Snyder might retire after this year, especially if KSU pulls off the unthinkable and wins it all.

I've heard the KSU alumni are trying to run Snyder out of town.. even in the midst of this season.

they never recruit well because they have no recruiting base.

he's good at finding guys that fit what he does and scouring the JuCo ranks to find guys that can step in and play right away.

They've done a good job at getting some Louisiana guys in recent years. A guy that lives down the street from my parents has a son that coaches WRs over there. His dad has been giving him some intel on the talent down here lately.

If I am not mistaken I think they go the Juco rout. Alot of their guys are from Juco.

This isn't the first time Snyder has put a quality team on the field. One of the most underrated college football coaches of all time IMO.

They didn't name the stadium after him for no reason

Spot on. I have always liked KSU under Bill Snyder and I will be rooting for them to win it all this season since LSU can't be in it.

Ironically enough it was Texas A&M who knocked his undefeated team out the MNC game once. Karma may have come back around for old Bill.

I'm not exactly sure. Guy who lives down the street says that the KSU alumni don't like Snyder for whatever reason. Good luck finding another coach who can achieve that kind of success at Kansas State

I thought your first post was a joke about how some fans over-emphasize recruiting.

Some idiots really want to get rid of Snyder? Barring something as scandalous as Baylor in the early 2000s, Penn State, UNLV in the late 80s, etc, that might be the most insane thing I've heard in a while.

I just recently left the Manhattan ks area after living there for about 7 years...I can tell you that k state football is growing and Bill Snyder is as popular as they come...do not be surprised if they start pulling some OOS talent soon...especially as there is little to no talent in KS...

Do you follow K State assiduously? You just look at the records and how he has managed a fine overall program.

Maybe the individual games, the selection of starters, the playcalling (offense and defense), the coordinators are not to the liking of their fans on their message boards?

Maybe other team fans/media make fun of their coach being that old or just mention it as a noteworthy point?

All this can force a fan to think that perhaps Win Loss is not everything and online perception matters more!

Substitute Miles for Snyder and LSU for KSU and you have the answer as to why folks are idiots
