Didn't Rick pick the bullet up off the ground proving that he didn't shoot her?

Bullet went t hrough her to the ground.
She was dead already. He just prevented her from turning. The walker came in and ate what was left.
The director explained it on Talking Dead. It was a bit confusing in the actual episode for me as well.

This episode was pretty weak, and that weakness really shines through compared to how awesome this season has been outside of it.
I believed in Rick's initial bout of anger and going and attacking the walkers, but when he didn't recognize Glenn... eh, that's a little contrived.

This felt like the classic "set up" episode for the rest of the season. We learn some more things about each group of people and wait for the inevitable meeting between them.
I really love the scene with The Governor and Woodbury. My wife hates them and thinks they're boring, but I'm digging learning more about the town.
And I assumed the three graves to be Lori, T-Dawg, and Carol; with obviously one grave having a body and the other two just for show. I'm not really sure Carol can get this lost but I guess we'll find her eventually. They don't seem real concerned looking for her.
Rick gone cray and will need to find Lori's body for closure. Not sure if that zombie really ate her, as there was nothing left of her on the ground. I'm thinking we find a zombified Lori at some point.
Solid episode. Not as action packed as the previous ones, but they all can't be.

I hope the phone introduces this new character

Now we know how Sofia couldnt find her way back to the interstate.
And the zombie daughter caught me off guard. Guess this will lead into the question that was posed is there still some of the "human element" left in the walkers. Certainly seemed that way

I'm guessing the games stuff is one of those things that I guess comes off better in comics than on a TV show.
I only know its in the comics because the readers said about 50 times "oh yeah the governor is crazy he has Olympic style games with zombies!!!" so thanks guys

I thought she just calmed down because he put the pillowcase over her head. Like they said, when they lose their ability to feed, they become docile. So binding her and cutting off her senses made her docile.
I'm wondering if when he sent Merle and the "research team" out for more "grist for the mill" if he was just referring to the games, or if they have other things they're using the walkers for.

Rick is mad that zombie munched on lori

Why are we assuming Carl didn't shoot her? Couldn't the zombie eat a Lori with a bullet in her head or am I missing something?

Yeah but he was combing her hair and she was just chilling before she got all agitated from her scalp being ripped off (there's a sentence I never thought I would type)

Ok, I'm new to this series, but really enjoying it. So I know EVERYONE is infected, but a bite will "turn" you.
The zombies ate all of T-Dawg before he could turn?? But there was still much of his carcus left, so they had a body?
I would assume the same for Lori?
So is that generally what happens? A zombie eats you up before you turn so that you don't turn? Just curious?
re: The Walking Dead Season 3, Episode 5 "Say the Word"Posted by etm512 on 11/12/12 at 8:58 am to TopWaterTiger
If you die, you turn. A bite can lead to a serious infection which kills you, then you turn because you're dead. It takes a little while after dying before you turn so if you are eaten and your brain is destroyed in the process, you are now compeltely dead.

Comic book readers know the significance of the telephone.
And, for my money, Lori is fricking dead.
