This team is starting to gel together, kinda like how it went in 2006, to the point where many thought we were the best team in the nation by year's end. There are some similarities at the QB position, where JR was a little prone to mistake (not Mett level) but was better every week.
Let's hope we get a 2007 kind of shake up and squeeze into the championship. If not, a 2006-like beatdown of Notre Dame should still make a lot of people happy.

After reading this, I guess the point of this thread is I believe we will be the "best" team by season's end (if we arent already).

Yes maybe, I almost feel as if their isn't one Dominate or Elite Team this year, all of the undefeated teams remaining have glaring weaknesses. KSU vs UO/ND really? Have they yet to play a True top 10 team this year?

I don't know about dominate but there are quite a few dominant teams (balanced or otherwise). K State and Oregon do qualify for that, ND is suspect (had quite a few breaks).

A bad side effect of the Bama loss is it virtually guarantees we'll be bypassed for a BCS bowl. Oh well, it's just a sacrifice we'll have to make.

K State and Oregon

I really believe that we can beat either of them.

I was thinking the same thing. I'll definitely settle for the Cotton Bowl or Capital One Bowl if it means Bama doesn't get another short at the NC. frick 'em. Arrogant pricks!

Amen to all that, and hope they get their rear ends handed to them in the bowl game. Can't stand them people.
