Vandy going bowling in consecutive years for the 1st time ever and will finish 7-5 at worst.

Landed a top 25 class last year, and has the #15 class currently. If you can recruit to Vandy, well you can do it anywhere.

I personally have him in my top 5 for Arkansas.

personally, i'm not sold.... he comes across as unprofessional.

I don't think he's major program material.... IMO.

I don't see him getting a better job unless he proves himself for at least 2 more seasons

If he finishes up 8-4 this year and maybe gets a bowl win, I'm not sure he can do anything more at Vanderbilt.

When Auburn comes open, Franklin should be their first call. He'll go toe to toe with Saban.

I don't think he's the right guy for Arkansas after a little deeper evaluation, but him and Briles were my early leaders in the Clubhouse.

Vandy has NEVER had back to back bowl seasons. Anyone thinking he can't get hired by a bigger school is kidding themselves. Given his experience in the ACC I'll be stunned if somebody like NC State or Ga Tech isn't looking at him.

Come to think, wasn't he the HC in waiting while the Fridge was at Maryland?

He was indeed. And his leaving is what led to Maryland forcing the Fridge out.

NC State isn't firing O'Brien anytime soon.

The North Carolina media isn't so confident about that.

As someone who's team has lost to him the past two years a combined 78-8, I think he is a solid coach. No one has less to work with than the Vandy coach, and he changed the mentality of that team from day one.
Solid coach, and if someone lands him, they will be happy I think.
Doubt UT goes after him because he is the current Vandy coach, but I would like him. Kind of like UK not going after Taggart/Strong for the same reason.

unti he learns to stfu and act a lot more professionally, I don't see him on any of these lists.
maybe a step up out of the conference, but not in the SEC imo of course..

Irony is strong here...

At least Vandy ACTS like they want to win.

If Franklin loses to Tenn this week, he'll be 0-2 versus Dooley and that should be cause for concern for anyone thinking about hiring him

Georgia Tech would be wise to consider hiring Franklin if/when they fire Johnson. Franklin has ACC experience, would be able to recruit within their academic standards, he'd have the entirtalent rich state of GA to recruit from, and he'd energize a program that isn't really too far off from being able to win conference titles on a yearly basis.

James Franklin is going no where. Vandy has and will continue to step up to support it's Football program. Vandy is following the Stanford blueprint which landed Harbaugh and kept him there until he left for the NFL. I don't see Franklin leaving for the NFL.

Dude has an alpha male personality. Id love to have him at Auburn over Mr. Nice Guy Eugene Chizik.

He also won 10 games at Maryland as the "OC"

Plane and simle Franklins going to be a BIG pickup for any program right now. However, as tasteless as he is, even I can't see him bouncing 2 1/2 hours east to Knox County .

Out of the HC names up in the air, I think Franklin & Patterson IF they were to leave their respective programs would be the 2 marquee hires
