Advocate Article

From the article:

quote:

Live Oak declined to leave with 6:40 remaining before kickoff, according to the KTBS report.

This part of the article is wrong. He refused to leave at 6:35, a full 25 minutes before game time. At 6:40, 20 minutes before game time, he was cuffed. The Live Oak band gave up their pregame performance time of 6:35-6:45 to allow the team to finish their warmup. 6:40 was the actual time, not minutes and seconds left before kickoff.

This is absolutely correct.

Well tell Parkway that their band won't be performing this week at half or before the game. HHS performs at half and the visitors always perform after the game. If she doesn't like it, we have a nice pond next to our field house she can jump in, the gators in it would appreciate a meal.

Whatsup with female principles always wearing their hair in that stupid, smug, out of style way? They always look like toads.

Dont be surprised if HH has a whole bunch of LO supporters at that game cheering them on.

It was just a douche move on their part. Just so they could say we gave LO band ten minutes. It was a great gesture by LO band director to give his time to LO coach. to you Mr. Band Director

Parkway has a very good award winning band with around 200 kids. Here is what happens during the pre-game at a Parkway game. The band takes the field, the ROTC present the colors on the field, the invocation is given( I'm glad we live in the South and we can say a prayer before the game without someone getting their panties in a wad!)Parkway's band plays the Star Spangle Banner, the ROTC removes the colors from the field, the band spell PHS, plays the fight song and then leaves the field. This happens every home game so it does take some time to complete the pre-game activities.

But the problem is that Parkway would not allow the Live Oak band to perform at halftime.

Your right, they wouldn't and here is why. With this weekend being Veterans day weekend, the band had a special performance for the Veterans in the stands along with their regular half-time performance.

Those nerds need to realize people are there for a football game, not a concert.
