It's not that LSU was good.....it's that Bama was one-night only bad

At least according to their players.....

“We don’t want that type of game to happen again where we pretty much beat ourselves,” he said. “We want to come out and prove to everybody that we’re just as good as any other week. Just because we didn’t have a good week doesn’t mean we fell off. - Nico Johnson

Amazing how Bama always seems to beat themselves when playing LSU.

Have these tards ever actually lost a game in their whole history because the other team was simply better???

If they had lost, I'd be laughing at them. But they can say what they want because they won on the field.

Typical. Doesn't change the fact that 10+ million people watched LSU pound on that team. You can't spin that game.

Saban knows what happened, LSU is so in his head, that he thinks he is playing at home in Tiger Stadium.

In comparing the two bodies of work I'd have to agree with Mr. Johnson here folks. An inconsistant but jacked up LSU team put it to a Bama team having a rare bad day. Just saying...

According to Mark May last night, it was an "anomoly". Started a thread on it and got reemed for being too sensitive.

They were dominated despite LSU beating themselves up.

the better team lost this past Saturday...their HC knows it, their players know it and if their fans are honest they know it

i hardly believe that, when you get beatdown like that or are "one-night only bad" usually its because of a lack of focus. One penalty in a packed above capacity stadium with a crowd and atmosphere that apparently now have become legend does not constitute lack of focus.

whether it was the team or the atmosphere itself, LSU did that to Alabama, not themselves.

The two teams are basically equal as far as talent. Last year's game in Tuscaloosa and this year's game in Baton Rouge were a reflection of that. Both were good against good resulting in a standstill. Both had opportunities, both missed their shots.

1/9 was the anomaly. LSU's offense was the very defintion of "a bad day at the office".

Can't wait for Ali-Frazier IV!

This. LSU people are saying the same things after 11/3/12 that Bama people said after 11/5/11.

Yes, except it's "anomaly"...and it couldn't have happened at a worse time.

Yeah, Nico. Because your team managing to control a whopping ONE-THIRD of the game clock, giving up 435 yards to your opponent, and avoiding a double-digit loss ""only"" to the luck of:
-2 missed LSU FGs,
-A fake FG that should have been ANOTHER FG,
-A ridiculously lucky bounce on an on-sides kick,
-A horribly inopportune PF penalty when LSU had the ball on the Bama THIRTEEN YARD LINE,&
-Being let off the hook by LSU TWICE in the last 7 minutes when all we needed was ONE MORE FIRST DOWN, either on:
a.) the 4th and 1 Wildcat misfire, or
b.) from the Bama 32 yard line with 2 minutes left......

Yeah, but you 'beat yourselves.' OK

This is pretty much it. Despite the Florida loss, I still say if Alabama and LSU play their A game against any other team in the country's A game, then Bama and LSU win. When they play each other, it usually comes down to the wire (1/9/12 being the obvious exception - LSU just got awful QB play that night and the gameplan was terrible).

Both fanbases are guilty of focusing a little too much on stats in these games. When you watch the games, you can just see that almost all of the matchups playing out on the field are pretty even.
