Sour grapes. As with every such honor there are some surprises and some snubs, but it's still an honor to be selected. Ask any NFL player.

Brees didn't have a stellar year.

DeMaryius should have gotten in over Welker. Dez Bryant should have gotten in over Victor Cruz or Julio also. He was way better than both

Meh Welker 110 catches 1280 yards 5 touchdowns (162 targets)
Thomas 87 catches 1312 yards 9 touchdowns (133 targets)

The best was Jeff Saturday leading all OL in voting when he's been so bad this season that the Packers had to bench him.

It was close, but DT88 had the superior season...

Although, he is just now becoming a household name, so it's understandable that Wes Welker was selected over him.

I hadn't heard about this. Makes me glad he picked Green Bay over Denver.
