I was working on this and expected it to take a while, but I finished early so I've decided to share early. Yeah yeah I know, this has been done before, but mine's better dammit!

Hope you get a chuckle or two:

Twas the night before Sunday, when all through the 'benz
Not a who dat was stirring, neither women nor men
Our banners were hung from the rafters with care
In hopes that Sean Payton again would be there

The Saints were nestled alseep in their beds,
while visions of lombardis danced in their heads
Tom Benson a-snoring, Mickey back on that cap
And Vilma still fighting, to beat that bad rap

When out in champs square, arose such a clatter
Twas music, and drink, and dancing, and laughter
Away to New Orleans I drove in a flash
For I Bought up some tickets with a little spare cash

The moon o'er the bayou where it never does snow
gives lustre to the 'dome, a nice golden glow
When, what to my bleary eyes should appear?
But the Saints of New Orleans??? perhaps it's the beer...

At their helm is a man, who hits receivers with ease
I knew at that moment, it must be Drew Brees
More accurate than an archer, or so some say
He hard counts and audibles the blitzes away

"Now Colston! Now Sproles! Now PT and Moore!
On Graham! On Devery!, y'all ready to score??
To the top of the levy, to the top of the wall!
Now Stand up, Get crunk, and cheer one and all!"

As fast and as hard as a wild hurricane wind,
The Saints' mighty offense makes boys out of men
On up to the rafters in the dome we all shout
"If you don't love the Saints, then get the F**K OUT!"

Our boys scored quickly, and as I tried to hold steady
Spags had the defense, lined up and ready
As the post-TD music, over the loudspeakers boomed
The falcons, on their sideline, knew they were doomed

Dressed in Black and Gold, from head down to toe
The Saints of New Orleans were putting on a show
With hard pounding running, and play action pass
Brees and 'dem boyz were kicking some arse!!

Alas!! as I sprang from my bed drenched in sweat
"Twas only a dream, it's not game day yet!"
As I lay back down and get my breathing to slow
I think of my trip, to the dome I shall go.

Tomorrow is the day that the Falcons must lose
We shall assist with our cheers...amplified by booze
The 'dome shall be rockin', there's no more 'aints
"Who dat say dey gonna beat dem Saints?"

excellent suggestion. I'll be working an an additional stanza (is that the right word?) to include Mr. Gleason.
