Hating the dude's offensive philosophy =/= hating the coach or the team

What frikin part of that do you "sunshine pumpers" not understand. He is great in every other aspect however, a majority of the time his offensive in game decision making sucks.
Consistently puts the team in a whole by running up the middle on first and/or second down leading to terrible 3rd down conversion percentage.
Terrible receiver routes with little separation and nothing over the middle.
Failure to use tight ends
Throwing 3 yard out routes on 3rd and long
Benching rb's with the hot hand
Formations dictating a hand full of plays that are run a majority of the time
Sitting on the ball at the end of the 1st half if there is less than 3 minutes left.
Go for the jugular early, get a 14 point lead, then play smash and pound.
The talent level =/= output and our offensive ranking for the entire FBS being in the bottom 20% over the last few years proves it.

Did you type this a month ago and forget to hit the submit button?

No. The Alabama game just pisses me off and makes me ask where the hell this was against Towson, Auburn AUBURN FOR PETES SAKE and A&M. Just watch, it will be back to the same crap for the last three.

Which naturally explains the fact that LSU's win percentage is 20%, right? I mean offensive ranking is equal to win percentage, right?
Thanks for pointing out that new and surprising stat. It's a pure revelation to me. As many times as I've read this board I have never seen anybody complain about offensive ranking. Thanks for your work.

So, you're bitching about 3 wins and not about this loss? I'm lost here.

Some people equate legitimate criticism with wanting to fire Miles.

exactly how do you define a "sunshine pumper". my definition is someone who always stresses the positive even if reality dictates otherwise. there are damn few of those on this board. i get the feeling many on here defined sunshine pumper as anyone that doesn't think the ship is sinking. big difference. many of us actually understand that when the OL is decimated and the qb is brand new and the wr's are all fairly new that it is expected that an offense will struggle. others take the tact that new players should be "plugged in" and will be all americans on the first play. i'm exagerating a little but not much. the reality of football is understood much more clearly by those that have played the game at a fairly high level (high school or above) or have ACTUALLY COMPETED in sports and in life. spectators are free to have an opinion but it often is not consistent with reality. a true sunshine pumper is at one end of the spectrum like the miles haters are at the other. but calling someone a sunshine pumper doesn't make it true just like calling someone a liberal doesn't make it so.

Because people come out and say miles is dumb, he needs to go.
Thats not hard to understand. Its blatantly obvious the people who want miles gone. Its the same ones as akways, waiting to pounce anytime we lose.
I think our passing game had been lacking all season and am still worried it will revert back to shite. But i think miles is a great coach, so im a sunshine pumper.
See how that works.

Wasting your time, they are neck deep.
You don't even have to hate his offensive philosophy, just say one negative thing involving the man and you are a hater.

Yeah I'm "neck deep" in love with CLM as a football coach....which in the eyes of most people like you...defines me as a "sunshine pumper".
So in your opinion, if I think that CLM is one of the top two coaches in the country, it's because I am too stupid or ignorant to understand or interpet things that you see but I cannot?
Dude, all I can say to you or the OP is that if you don't think Les Miles is one of the best coaches in the country then you don't really understand the game or what it takes to create a program that is at the level that CLM has LSU at right now.
If you need me to explain to you what you are missing about CLM I will, I've done it many times on here. It's not a short explanation so be prepared to read. But I know a lot more than either of you about football and I'm smarter than you to boot...so I can teach you something if you are truly willing to learn. If you prefer to wallow however, in your ignorant, hating stance, then by all means, have a great day!

I'd call a sunshine pumper the ones who defend this offense to no end even at its absolute worst. Look at my previous posts, I don't just say this crap after a loss. There are probably maybe 10 games in Les' tenure where his offensive output was anywhere on par whith the talent he is coaching and yes, Alabama was one of them. Games against the likes of McNeese, ULL, Towson, etc. there's no excuse to consistently struggle offensively against these teams and it carries over into SEC.

See that up there? That's sunshine pumping. I mean, lower margins of victory have a direct correlation to winning percentage right? I mean, the less offense you can have and still pull out a win is indicitive of your output being consistent with your talent level right? No, it means you have a great defense you clueless smartass!

I have voiced criticism this season on the offense. They have pulled together and the coaches have worked on the issues and now they are playing great ball.
I've been a fan of Miles since he got here and always will be. I will voice concerns but I won't simply hate on the man. He worked on issues and corrected them.
If that makes me a sunshine pumper, in your definition, so be it. I'm good with that.
