short trip for tiger fans playing in a classic game against a national branded team, plus don't forget in the middle of fertile recruiting territory. It's a win win
Don't forget we play TCU there next year and with A&M being in the sec parents can see their kid play 2.5 hrs away. LSU is having a bigger and bigger presence in DFW

so florida is going to beat Fsu...don't think so. They will drop behind LSU is they lose that one. LSU should be #4 in the bcs should they win out and ND loses to USC, UGA loses to Bama and UF loses to FSU. No way LSU doesn't go to a bcs bowl. Hoping for the Rose Bowl myself.

You don't understand much, it appears.
But make no mistake, playing in a non-BCS bowl against a mediocre Texas team is hardly scintillating, especially when you consider we have already had two recent games in Dallas and will have yet another to start next season.

Not saying I disagree, but why does everyone keep saying we drop behind florida if they lose to UF. We will each have 2 losses and and they beat us (and loss to good teams). Is it just because by the flawed way polls work, if you lose you have to drop?

I wouldn't mind that. Had a blast whipping aTm in the Cotton Bowl a few years ago. One of the highlights was when a few aTm fans asked what we were doing while the band was playing Neck. A redneck look of bewilderment came across their faces

Most likely we would head to the peach or one of the florida bowls because the Cotton would be intrigued with a possible aTm/Texas matchup.

We're going to play in the Sugar bowl against Notre Dame. UGA will get by Bama by double digits and if UF continues to have zero offense FSU will take care of them.
