re: Northern Virginia voting lines

I would attribute Pentagon City/Crystal City's liberal slant more to its big city feel and proximity to DC. It's what you'll find in every big city in this country. People consciously decide to live here even with the sky high rent/mortgage and taxes.

To a certain extent.

Also,

- government "workers" ... you know, the "roll in at 9 AM ... go to Starbucks 3 times a day ... 1.5 hr lunch ... clock out at 4 ... no work if a snowflake touches the ground ... every BS holiday off, etc" ... the kind of people whose main mission in life is to make sure that the budget for next year stays the same or higher.

Columbus Day is serious business!

I work for a financial firm and we're on the Federal holiday schedule. So I've grown fond of my Columbus Day holiday.

My friend works for the state of Texas and gets off for "Civil War Heroes Day."

Serious.

There is a big difference between girl friend and girlfriend. Educate yourself.

it's difficult for many Republican outsiders to correlate NOVA's voting tendencies with its demographics. So they just make things up.

Certainly not all ... but a good many...or, "some", if you like that better.

And, if you pay attention and have been around D.C. alot, you'd have no choice but to agree.

Sorry if the truth hurts.

If your folks don't fall in that category, then you should not be offended.

I'll be voting in western Fairfax County between 2-3 this afternoon. I don't expect any problem with lines.

So, you are counting commuting time ?

Whatever ... if you want to think that Federal G employees are as hard working as those in the private sector ... agree to disagree.

um no wtf do you not understand about in at 7 gone at 6

again how long did you live in DC or are you just talking out your ass

there is also a reason many former gov't employees get to name their price when they decide to work in the private sector.
