Every recruit should listen to that.....if they did, LSU wouldn't lose many of them to any other school.

I don't think I've ever cared less about a loss. As heart wrenching as that last minute was, Alabama can't take away the 59 most amazing minutes of sports I have ever experienced. I never sat down during that game and neither did anyone around our seats. I'm still hoarse. The way that our boys played make me so proud to be a Tiger. To me, they didn't lose a goddamn thing Saturday night.

Geaux Tigers, and forever LSU!!!

Got a picture with him going into the student union. I had no idea he was 6'8" ish. I look like a midget next to him. He was very nice and very accommodating for the pic. Liked him before, #1 in my book now.

I love SVP. I listened to him live today and as great as the transcript is to personally rehash it again, listening to him live today was a real treat. You could hear the passion in his voice as he was trying to find the right words to say because the atmosphere was that incendiary. I wish I could have been in TS on Saturday. The plasma in my TV was boiling it was so stentorious.

I'm an old timer. I was there for many, many games. But the 3 greatest feelings were 3) Georgia 03, 2) FL 07 and number 1, Saturday night!

Not to hijack, but Rusillo just said Spurrier was trolling when he said Bama could beat an NFL team... Said he just wants Bama to lose.

I was there for those games, too. Can't say anything but "awesome."

I think this Saturday showed that its still:

LSU Bama

Everyone else

Although I think that LSU also showed that once again had the more talented team. Maybe not the world's greatest coach, but all in all I still think we have a more talented team. And by far better fans.

While I agree with you, it is only to an extent. It does take a top 5 team to get TS to is proper level. And that is fine, it speaks to where LSU is as a program.

The problem with an assinine statement like this is that TS was never anything but what it is now. 1950, 1965, 1985, 1995, doesn't matter. Tiger Stadium is the tits when Bama, Auburn, Tenn, Florida come.
When LSU plays a crap opponent, its not the same. So what, it has always been that way. Do you really think the atmosphere of the Towson game was really all that different than when we were beating Baylor by 60 in 1962? That NOBODY left that game early at all?
I would stand to argue that the stadium wasn't exactly "rockin" in the fourth quarter of that game either.
Everybody has revisionist attitudes. It's just you retards have a place to voice them now, where as previously we would have just told you to stop talking back to your mom and go back to the basement.
Every big venue has this issue. Awesome for big games, not as awesome for the whatever games. You think Yankee Stadium really gets up for an May midweek game versus the Royals?

Tiger Stadium for a big game is unlike anywhere I've ever been. BY FAR. I tell people I see for work all the time exactly what SVP said, "Go to a big game at LSU, then come talk to me."
It's something that can't be explained, only experienced.

Good Work Tiger Fans.

I admire how consistently well LSU fans bring it for big night games.
And that's why so many of us get infuriated when they move big games to afternoon for TV. The TS atmosphere is not in the same universe during the day. Yeah yeah yeah, we all know about the CBS/ESPN contracts with the SEC and why the games are moved. Doesn't mean we have to like it or blindly accept it like obedient little drones.

Thanks for the link, ZZtop!! I was at the 79 USC game, and I was not at last Sat. game (watched on TV), but sounded like Bama game was the most epic game ever in TS. In 79, there weren't as many people. I could not hear myself talk or think, so I know it must have been even better in the Bama game. This will be one for the ages for you guys in the stadium. Great job representing LSU and the Tiger Stadium experience!
