I feel like Hill is bottom line our best RB but ford is very good at making plays when we need them. Y not give him a few more rushes?

Hill ran well. But late, I thought he was gassed. Could of used our depth. Hilliard didn't see field.

Is it confirmed Hilliard's lack of PT is strictly due to being in Miles' doghouse and no injury or anything? Seems a bit ridiculous

Like coming out the endzone from 5 yards deep and only getting to the 12?

Totally agree he's only a freshman... A good one but a freshman

To me he is the perfect screen running back.

Hill is the best all around back and Ware is pound for pound the most physical player on the team. I think the touches were given out in the perfect portion.

What does being a freshman have to do with anything?

He's been getting outplayed. That's what happens with our backfield

He doesn't have to be our starter I feel like we can use a different back every play and be successful

Great idea, take him out of his rhythm just to get other guys touches. Brilliant.

Hard to find a lot more room for Ford in the game, to be honest. Hill might have tired some, but backs like that tend to become better the more they run. Leaving him out there as much as they did was the right call.
Ford as the screen guy- well, Ware had an awesome reception. Maybe Ford can do that, but I'd say Ware is better out of the backfield,
Maybe you can change Ford out with Shepard; they had the series with the infamous short-side option. That was the series dedicated to Shep, trying to get him to be a factor. Maybe you put Ford in instead, and run toss sweeps to the wide side; really about the only move where you keep a similar plan (Shep was intended to bring quickness vs a tiring defense, and Ford sweeps would bring speed vs a tiring defense). But then you have the issue of Shepard not being utilized, instead of Ford.

I really can't find much fault at all with the gameplan, it was well designed and executed against the top defense in the land. You'd be hard-pressed to have much more success than we had. The fact that some quibble about our 3rd and 4th string backs, highlights how well things went.

Don't you think ford could've done more on that screen play than ware?

I think Fords problem is he wants to take every play outside. He seems to miss holes.

I think Hill is going to make it very difficult for Ware and Ford to see a lot of carries.

hill is the best back but he got a few too many touches. he was too tired at end of game.

agreed. Ware looks like his motor runs at 110% all the time.
