STM is very balanced on offense
They have a 2800 yd passer and a 800 yd rusher against one of the toughest schedules in the state

They lost in week one to sulphur on the road but that was after the hurricane when they only had one practice that week

They lost on the road to central, gave one away against evangel and have been on a roll since then

Have always wanted to ask this question:

How are the home teams determined after the first round and in subsequent rounds? thanks

Its complicated. If the underdog wins their game and the favorite wins their game, the underdog gets the home game. If both favorites win the higher seed gets the home game.

Thats as best as I can put it. An underdog is rewarded a home game for winning.

Byrd vs NCHS should be interesting.

Higher seed is always home in a perfect world. When a team that travels wins, they get a home game the next week...if they've traveled more than the team they're playing. If they've both traveled an equal amount, higher seed gets home game. Now higher seed is always home in Dome.

I am picking Catholic to go to the Dome fresh off their blowout win against Dutchtown. The will roll over everybody in top half of the bracket.

5A- Rummel vs. WM

Hopefully Rummel doesn't get blown out again like in 09.

1st round higher seed is home

After that team that traveled last is home both home both traveled higher seed is home

This is where big metro area schools get a break when they play a road playoff game in their home stadium still counts as travel

They changed it this year. It's no longer who traveled last. It's just who traveled more. All things equal, higher seed is home.

it should be higher seed is home for every game, but NOOOOO, LA principals can't reward merit.

LA principals also have our education 51st out of 50

Hopefully Acadiana can get past Zachary so I can make another trip up to West Monroe! I love watching football in that kind of atmosphere. Incredible place for some football.

As long as you don't catch me on a 30 hour turnaround from nights to days, I'm not bad. Sunday is the start of the week so I should be right here. Tomorrow night I'll be shite though.
