Is that why you've been doing mental gymnastics all day to justify all of Saban's frickups over the course of his career?

huh?

we got beat by UGA in 2004 b/c they were ready for it

2004 was a shite show b/c we didn't have the program depth to sustain a loss like mauck. it was corrected by 2005

that's not "mental gymnastics"

Maybe I'm being naive, but I don't think he just said "frick it I'm mailing it in". I just like to think either 1) shite hit the fan in the locker room or 2) he was being stubborn as hell.

Knowing the shite he would catch and knowing what a few friends that have played for him have said about him...
I just don't think he would give up. Stubbornness I would believe.

He needs a QB he can trust. He trusted Flynn and its starting to appear he trusts Mett.

This, I can't help but feel he realizes that Mett played lights out and probably could win him more games.

I also feel Les looks at what works for other teams and "tries" to resemble them. I think JJ was his attempt at copying Tebow and Cam Newton furthered his mindset of a tough running QB (even though JJ was a weak comparison, he was our best comparison).

Watching Mett convert 3rd downs again and again had to hit him deep down as well as watching AJ throw down the field to steal the win. He has to adjust for it, especially now that Mett and this corps of receivers just proved they can do it.

Now I can't even take anything you say serious. Chip Kelly? He just gave up 615 yards of offense last night. You want to criticize a coach? That's retarded and will never win a championship. Miles is head and shoulders better- proved it last year. Keep trying.

You like to call out people for defending miles but I don't think there is a bigger Saban defender in the Internet than you. Bama fans would be jealous at the level of Saban love that you possess.

Why can't you enjoy a great era of lsu football without constantly putting down the coach and program that you claim to be a fan of?

He never admits he's wrong. He just continues to change the argument until people get tired of dealing with him.

i mean within the game itself. we still had an outside shot at the end to possibly win, and he just kept punting, even on 4th and short. punting in that situation = giving up. you're certainly not trying to win anymore

i wonder if Chip Kelly would have a top 10 team if he lost 8-10 starters and had a patchwork o-line. i think we both know the answer to that.

we went conservative at the end

and this thread is also about the stupid calls...like the fake FG and the ware-as-QB formation

to a supremely talented offense that was clicking on all cylinders

the UO defense is mightily improved this year. they shut out Arizona (who has a great offense)

no. our team (esp on the lines) is more talented than UO's team. plus we got some lucky ST plays

i said i wish i could see what he could do in a state with good talent on the lines. Oregon doesn't produce shite for talent

LSU should be the team winning 3 titles in 4 years. NOT bama

That and I think he likes to run his post count up too. Like a true lawyer. Just confuse the facts and start a new argument.

he chose to burn clock and hand it over to the defense who had completely shut down bama in the 4th. coaches do it all the time.

fake FG was a bad call. Ware call is questionable at best. So that's it....you're basically bitching over a fake FG call.

If you want to bitch about something it should be Copelands PF and Chavis going prevent the last 90 seconds.....because the offense and playcalling was great.

he had a patchwork OL last year and every team loses starters form the year before. LSU fans have invented a ton of starters that weren't starters or didn't even start a game

also it is pretty much impossible for kelly to ever assemble a team as talented as LSU (or bama, or a number of other top programs) b/c of geography. i could only imagine what he could do at Texas
