ULL head coach Mark Hudspeth didn't shake Berry's hand last season after the Ragin' Cajuns came back from a fourth quarter, 11-point deficit to beat ULM in Lafayette.

After Saturday night, Berry probably would have been OK to not shake Hudspeth's hand.

In fact, the two met at midfield but it looked more like a brief hand slap between the two, minutes after ULL threw an 81-yard touchdown pass to Jamal Robinson with four seconds left in the game when all the Ragin' Cajuns needed to do was run out the clock.

They were already up 10 points and were facing a fourth-and-6 situation, but I guess Hudspeth didn't take a note from the Thursday night game when Middle Tennessee ran around in the end zone before running out of bounds to take a safety and run out the final seconds to beat Western Kentucky.

Women shouldn't write about sports

There was only 4 seconds left and we were up by 10. We were going to just run out the clock but ULM blitzed all 11 players on defense. If anything, she should be upset with Berry's dumb arse.

They weren't going to score 10 points in 4 seconds. If they would have allowed us to run out the clock, we would have. Instead, they blitzed their entire defense. They got what they deserved. I'm glad Jamal Robinson scored on the play

Who really cares? I love the mentality of "Its not my job to stop my offense"

If we played ULM I hope Dykes would try and score 100 on them.

She also tries to make it sound like ULM chose Berry over Hudspeth. What an unprofessional jackass.

If Hudspeth applied for the job, didn't ULM pick Berry over him?

Hudspeth turned down the job after talking with ULM about salary for assistants and facilities/facility improvements.

Watching the video, I like the throw right there. If they're going all out blitz with 4 seconds left in a game they can no longer win, they're trying to hurt someone. Embarrass them.

But, what happened on the play before? That may reinforce, or make me rethink my opinion.

The deep throw is the proper play in that situation. Even if its dropped its in the air for 4+ seconds and runs the clock out.

Why did ULM blitz everyone? That's the dumb, bordering on classless move here.

So it was 4th down? I see nothing wrong with it. It basically is a punt without punting.

Yep. That's what I'm saying. If they just come with a regular defense, Broadway scrambles then just throws it out of bounds.

Was it to avoid a delay of game penalty?

They let the clock run all the way down then called a timeout to decide what to do with the last play. They didn't call a timeout in order to throw it deep, don't be stupid.
