We are a spoiled fan base. We have had success in the recent past and expect perfection. We have some of the best football players in the nation. We are charged fees to purchase season tickets and to park at football games that are supposed to ensure our place among the nation's elite football programs.

The future of our program is in the hands of a coach whose philosophy centers around a Big 10 football mentality where we exchange field goals for touchdowns, depend on our defense to win close games, and use tricks or gadget plays to mask our shortcomings in terms of talented personnel on the field.
In his world, any team in our league can beat us in the last seconds of the game, with one play.

Is this what we want in a coach?

We punched them in the mouth and beat them at their strength (stopping the run)

We just blew it

Do I want a coach who wins 80+% of his games and competes for a NC every year? Why would I want that kind of misery!

You're questioning the direction of the program the day after we outplayed and outcoached the #1 team in the land and were very close to making our own case for #1....?

You cant be serious...

Hopefully Mett came into his own last night... this game will give him great confidence the rest of the way. Open it up like last night, we'll be fine.

Call me what you want, but these players deserve better than to lose games like the one last night and the NCG on January 9th because of his inept decisions.

Toe to toe...but still came up short. 2nd in the nation on the rings says everything.

WHO DO YOU WANT?????

We were the SEC champs last year and played for the title.

We will likely finish 10-2, 11-2 with bowl win.

We will likey have another top 10 finish.

We lost a heartbreaker to the best team in football and next year will be one of the teams on the short list to compete for EVERYTHING again.

What exactly is wrong with the direction of the program?

Without a doubt. I think they will be preseason #1 next year.

That is ridiculous, at best. You can't have it both ways - "Miles has great players, but can't coach them". Who is bringing in all this talent, and do you realize that we played last night without 8 projected starters?

Also, you can't be ultra critical of Miles' 4 bad play calls, without mentioning the other 85 positive plays. All everyone wanted was the The Hat to open up the offense as well as gamble a bit. Well he did, on both accounts. In these huge games, it comes down to 3 or 4 plays.

Idiotic post. Tiger football has never been better than under Miles.

We are fine; i wish we would have thrown on 3rd and 6, but he played the odds and that was the smart thing to do. The direction is just fine; get a grip.

Fine, yes. But the OP is pointing out that the bar has been raised. Is "fine" still good enough?

I am completely serious.
I haven't had the purple kool aid like some of you die hards.
We have a good enough team to be undefeated and riding a wave of two undefeated seasons. We haven't played anoine more talented than we are. Coaching has lost our last three games. Three of the most important games in terms if national prominence.

We had the lead with less than 2 minutes in the game....the players could have stopped bama on that drive and won the game...lets quit acting like miles was on the field.
