Another great day

Almost just slept in today, was just sick after the game last night. Proud of my Tigers though. Thats over. Looked at the weather, and said today was the day. Took my boy, he was a rifle buck away from pulling off the Triple Trophy award for the 3rd straight year. I've been filming him, and posting pics on here, as most of you know. I need to get the vids to download, cause some were just great. 3 deer, with 3 different techniques, 3 years in a row...he's just 12. Teaching has been frustrating, at times, but the memories are epic. This morning was no different. Rained for 1.5 hours on us, but when it paused...they moved.

I actually went outside, it was pouring. Got back in bed, got the weather radar up on the computer, and it looked bad. Just had to do it, though, can't kill em in bed.

I asked him, and he wants a skull mount. I told him this one would look great, but he didn't want the skull looking at him in his room. LOL!

I prefer a shoulder mount because it means Ive probably shot a larger buck. But skull mounting is a great affordable way to show them off. the deer look bigger with a euro. I wish I had done them with all my other deer. I have 4 others that I just cut the antlers off and have on one of those felt plaques. I hate them

Yeah, you should have seen his face when I described the Euro mount to him....not good!
