Since the Gumps love to point to games from last century as though they have any relevance to the present, I looked up LSU's results vs. mUlligAn the yr after the Gumps won the AP's or coaches’ polls or some other mythical nat'l title.

1926: Bama won 24-0 @ Tuscaloosa
1927: 0-0 tie @ Birmingham
1931: LSU didn’t play Bama
1935: LSU didn’t play Bama
1942: LSU didn’t play Bama
1962: LSU didn’t play Bama
1965: Bama won 31-7 @ B.R.
1966: Bama won 21-0 @ Birmingham
1974: Bama won 30-0 @ Birmingham
1979: Bama won 3-0 @ B.R
1980: Bama won 28-7 @ Tuscaloosa
1993: LSU won 17-13 @ Tuscaloosa
2010: LSU won 24-21 @ B.R.

So based on those results, the Gumps have to win @ Death Valley on Sat., right?

The Gumps make me laugh when they cite mUlligAn's 25-8-1 record @ Tiger Stadium as they that has any bearing on today's game. They conveniently overlook the 2-4 record in Death Valley starting in 2000.

1927 0-0 tie defense wasn't giving up an inch that day

I wonder if they weather played a role or just both offenses sucked.
