AD and Ryno need to hurry up and produce a competent SG for the Hornets.

I'm really pulling for Rivers to prove us all wrong, but dang this kid is just struggling.

The kid is probably 2 years away from being ready. Doesn't have the strength to finish after contact, Jump shot has yet to translate, and needs to develop a mid-range shot.

The experience and struggles he's dealing with in his first year will play a big role in his development and growth in the off-season. I'm hoping to see his game translate by year 2 and polished by year 3.

I'm trying real hard not to judge him right now because we're basically watching a natural scorer struggle to make shots. We're going to have to be real patient with him.

He's not even getting open and his shots aren't falling when he does.

I said before the draft even went down, we needed to hit on both the 1 and 10 picks this year considering our flops the past 6-7 years

He is clearly not ready or capable.

I'm still withholding judgment on Rivers till at least March or April. He probably shouldn't have come out this year, honestly. But I'm not about to say he's a bust or a flop after a grand total of 8 NBA games.

Aminu is a perfect example. He was garbage last year. Ballin out right now.

That's a lot of developing for a lottery pick. Geez what were the Hornets thinking?

I don't think Aminu was complete garbage last year. I thought he showed some ability and some flashes at times. He also didn't come in with the same hype and expectations. Also is asked to do way different things than what Rivers is asked to do. So to me, Aminu and Rivers is not a good apples to apples comparisson.
I will pull for the kid hard....but I just don't see it in him.

I think it is evident that the time spent as a starter on the Nigerian Olympic Team has paid dividends in his development as a player

As for Rivers, the kid has been thrown in the fire and is clearly not ready. This is likely one of those stories where it will either pay big dividends down the road for him as a player, or could ruin him and diminish his career before his rookie contract is over. Obviously I am hoping for the former as a fan....

Meyers Leonard
Jeremy Lamb
Kendall Marshall
John Henson
Mo Harkless
Royce White
Tyler Zeller

It has been stated time and again that 10 is one of the biggest crap shoots in the draft. People still want to treat it like a "lottery pick," but it is not. There just isn't much value picking there.
