What would it take for Spagnoula to lose his job after this season?

or he can't lose his job?

I mean, is there anything that this defense could do worse to where someone in the saints organization would just pull him out mid season?

We are already down a head coach why would we take out the defensive head coach in 8 games?

becuase we are ranked 88th in defense and the league only has 32 teams.

That's pretty good. But he's going to get a pass because of the circumstances this year.

All right.
These are the facts:

Yards allowed:
32nd in league.

HOWEVER:
Points allowed:
30th in league.

We could lost out and he would be safe. Nothing should force Spags out this season IMO

Institute a bounty system and publicize it.

Well Shane, it won't be this season.

Could the defense be worse? No, Shane.

Saints need new players not coaches

If Payton doesn't come back and fire him we are screwed. I realize we may not have the greatest personnel, but they aren't shite. If his record with the Rams and having the worst defense in NFL history isn't enough to prove he is a horrible coach or at least not right for the Saints I don't know what is.

We can't win anymore with just a decent defense. Not with the Texans, Falcons, Broncos, Packers, 49ers, and Bears doing well on both sides of the ball. Give us a real defense and the Saints will be unstoppable.

Saints can't afford a real defense with the cap balance so heavily in the offense's favor.

Suntiger agrees

Greer and Lofton seem to be the only legit NFL starters.
Everyone else is just ehhhhhh.
Jordan, Jenkins and Hicks seem like they could be ok players if used properly. I like Bunkley, but I just haven't watched him enough this year. Smith was decent, but he's declining rapidly.

Williams was a joke and he did better with these guys than Spags. Not to mention the numerous "upgrades" we got this year. Bunkley, Lofton, Hawthorne, Chamberlain, Hicks. We never lost Smith and getting back Vilma somehow made us worse.

Not so fast there my friend. Williams is a good coordinator with a long track record. If anything, he took this band of misfits and made them the 24th worst defense which actually looks like an accomplishment now.

Honestly, coaches get a pass this season. He is trying to implement a new scheme without a LB coach, 2 defensive team leaders, and no HC. I wont entertain arguments to fire him. If we come out next seaosn with all the pieces back together and are still the worst defense in history, then we can talk.

Everytime i see your name my brain auto coverts it into Shanle4689.

The answer to this is literally no.

Someone has to be here with that authority.
