Sorry for the pic being so big. Club rules allow us to shoot him, so if I don't someone else might. What say the ODB, shoot him or let him walk?

Eh, lots of other factors to consider.

Some places, yes, some, no.

if you do kill him and your club shoots those, your club will have the most of that kind of deer..
that statement sounds crazy, but it's true.. think about it.

i watched arkansas establish the 3 pt. on one side rule. it created an abundance of 2.5 year old 8 pts.
kids and daddys with kids were happy, but folks that wanted to pursue 4 year and up deer were not..

I'm thinking a year and a half old?

So far he's the only buck I have on camera, other than him I have a few nice size does that I can shoot for meat.

I have never killed a buck before and with the rules we have I'll probably take him if I see him because I doubt I'll see him next year.

Pass. If you're looking for a trophy, wait it out. If you want some deer meat, shoot a doe.

...When in Rome...

That being said, that is a young deer, and young deer make lots of mistakes. He will likely be seen again by another hunter in your lease.

that's a cop out... if you're serious about improving your deer, speak out to your club and adjoining clubs. If you alone let 4 young bucks walk each year, chances are that maybe 1 or 2 of those will make it to be a much better deer next year and much much better in 2 years, a trophy, perhaps.
that's like saying, "i ain't gonna go vote, cause obama is gonna get reelected anyway"... You have a choice, do something about it.. kill a doe for the meat, hope that your actions and the ones you infleunce make better deer for you club..
on the other hand, hunting should be fun, again, it's your choice, do what makes you happy... just don't bitch about your club not having any good deer.
old man rant over...

Depends on how hungry you are.

Personally I would shoot it because I am on no kind of management plan.
