The crowd would go nuts and get the team even more fired up.
What say you?

You gotta be kidding. It's not the powers that be that prevent the playing of Neck,, it's the crowd. Not just student section, hell three fourths of the crowd seems compelled, in front of family minded women and children, to scream out suck that tiger dick. Hell, I've seen my own 30 year old family members doing it. It's a pretty catchy tune and I do like to hear it, but the crowd took it away. Are you included in that portion that prevents it from being played? if so, blame yourself, not administration.

Hypothetically, what you would happen if they did break it out? Just do it band members.

Please don't, the neck thing has run its course. Time to move on. You are here to watch a football contest, not to listen to some over rated song that the studentbody stole from the Southern University.

You go to the game to watch football. The band is there to play fight songs. Is neck in the category of "Hold That Tiger", or any other classic fight songs from other universities/colleges? No. If you want to dance go to a fricking disco, and give your tickets to somebody that gives a shite about LSU Football.

You sir, clearly don't understand the concept of motivation and crowd involvement. If it pumps the crowd up, then it's pretty damn important to a home game... I agree that Neck shouldn't be played b/c of the immaturity that is involved... but having ~90,000 fans screaming "OH"s in unison builds the hell out of home field advantage.
